GNP cares for the environment and each other through the three different programs. Hundreds of volunteers put in thousands of hours annually to fulfill this vision.

HELP - In 2005 GNP began offering a local Health Equipment Lending Program (HELP), providing the connection between those who have used medical equipment to donate, and those who need to borrow equipment for short-term use. HELP was mentioned in the Harvard Health Letter March 2020 as being an accessible and user-friendly resource for people with durable medical equipment needs. Often, HELP clients have no other options financially to obtain this equipment. In just one year 1,290 donated items were loaned to 2,941 families in need rather than ending up in landfills.

e-CYCLING - GNP first started holding e-CYCLING events in 2004 as an internal fundraiser. Demand continued to increase annually, and now GNP offers the service every Friday. Additionally, the team has partnered with other nonprofits in other communities with mobile collection events. In 2021 a business partnership model was established and the first event was held with Greenheck in Wausau.

As a DNR registered collector, GNP’s E-Cycling Program facilitates reuse of valuable, limited resources and toxins are kept out of our air and water supplies. During 2020 & 2024, our E-Cycle collection program was acknowledged by the Wisconsin DNR with an electronics collection Excellence Award. We were honored to receive the 2023 City of Wausau Sustainability Award!

Service Trips - GNP facilitates international trips for volunteers with a focus on providing housing, education for sustainable living and companionship for the poor. These trips are on hold through 2025 while the team focuses HR and financial resources on local programming needs
